Cammo’s Guitar Works began as an idea. I had retired from being a semi-professional musician and wanted to explore new passions.

I’ve been fascinated with guitars as long as I can remember, and throughout my teenage years into my twenties I had modified each of the guitars I owned with varying levels of success. In my thirties I was playing guitar semi-professionally in a metal band, setting my own guitars up, and all the time learning more and more about the instrument I love.

By 2013 I had retired from life as a working musician and began dedicating time to assembling kit guitars and building ‘partscasters’.

After putting together a few guitars myself, and receiving my very first commission job (a sunburst Telecaster), I felt confident enough to launch a small business venture called Cammo’s Guitar Setup Shop in 2018.

With the help of friends I’ve known from the Brisbane music scene and word-of-mouth, I began building a small clientele, all the while my confidence building with each new challenge I faced.

I quickly realised that my customers really liked the way I set up their guitars - I had learned many techniques I knew could dramatically improve a guitar’s performance, and I was dedicated to improving my craft.

In 2024 to reflect the broader skillset I had to offer, the business was rebranded as Cammo’s Guitar Works.

Working from a customised workshop in Goodna, my ultimate aim and passion revolves around delivering unparalleled levels of service to all guitar enthusiasts, regardless of their skill level - be it a beginner craving knowledge or a seasoned pro seeking top-notch repairs and setups.
